  • We’re Westover
Six state titles. Twelve Final Fours. All since 1988. At Westover, losing is not an option — and winning is tradition. That’s the message Patriots coach Dallis Smith has preached to his team all season after every blowout win, the ho-hum victories and most especially following every painful, unacceptable loss. This is Westover, a program that’s rich in state championships the past 22 years, and one that’s expected to be in the hunt each and every season. Just like this one, which followed a sometimes bumpy road to today’s GHSA Class AAA Final Four game against Columbia in Macon, where Westover fell short a year ago in the state title game. But not this time, say the Patriots. This time, it’s our time.
