Crumbly way back when and settled five miles northwest of Jackson where the Southern Railway was later situated. Thus born was Jenkinsburg. Other folks joined the Jenkins family. (Full Story)

Usually healthy or enjoyable feelings are easier to work through than unhealthy or painful feelings. Musings: Obesity 0 Comments Last Updated: 10:04 AM 03/04/10 - Today obesity is said to be the number one, or close to it, health problem in our society. If we do not believe obesity is a problem, just look around us. It is amazing on the “Price is Right” TV program how many of the persons who lumber down the aisle to play the game are really obese. Under the Gold Dome: GA General Assembly 0 Comments Last Updated: 10:03 AM 03/04/10 - The Georgia General Assembly convened on Thursday, February 18th after day 20 of the 2010 legislative session. The General Assembly has decided to take a two week break from the legislative session to work on the daunting task of balancing the Fiscal Year 2011 budget. Although labeled a “break,” it is far from what will actually be taking place for the next few weeks. The General Assembly will hold joint House and Senate Appropriation Committee meetings. I noticed this is a very popular part of our paper, and if for someone reason it doesn't run people call and ask where it is. This got me thinking about a little memory lane in my own life.
