Chief Magistrate Gigi Leverette Hoard reports the following individuals were brought before the Butts County Magistrate Court for First Appearance Bond Hearings during the period of March 2-8:

•Arterrius D. McDowell on charges of Party to the Crime of Battery.

•Kevin Lance Watson on charges of Battery.

•Tyler Holloway on charges of Sale of Marijuana.

•Roy Ellis Veal, Jr. on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction of Law Enforcement and Misuse of a 911 Call.

•Dustin D. Woodruff on charges of Battery Family Violence and Interference with Call of Emergency Assistance.

•Alton Demon Sims on charges of Interference with 911 Call, Simple Battery Family Violence, Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree and Criminal Damage to Property in the Second Degree.

•Jessica Marie Cheek on charges of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Failure to Maintain Lane.

Bond was granted in seven cases and denied in one case. Judges presided over six civil cases. Judges issued 12 warrants. The Court Clerk filed 23 civil suits and one civilian warrant application.
