Randy King, owner, and Ben Giovannetti, general manager, of R&B Portable Solutions have not let this tough economy keep them from being charitable.

The company recently donated a 12x26 metal building with two roll up doors to the City of Jackson Fire Department (JFD).

The structure will be used to house the 1941 Ford Flathead V8 truck that is used in the Christmas parade.

Over four years ago, Jackson Shop Maintenance Manager Troy Smith reintroduced Jackson citizens to the 1941 Ford Flathead.

After over a year of hard work, Smith restored the fire truck to "better than new" condition.

Smith’s careful bumper-to-bumper renovation and extraordinary attention to detail restored the fire truck to its former glory. The Ford Flathead was viewed for the first time in years by on onlookers at the 2005 Christmas parade.

“The donated metal building will keep the truck from getting damaged and scratched up," said JFD Firefighter Richard Williams. "The truck is an important part of Jackson's history."
