Last Updated: 11:27 AM 03/11/10 - Many of you are aware of the events of the past few days: On March 1, we received an e-mail from the Associate Dean Extension which outlined the cuts the Chancellor of the University of Georgia had made in a request from the Legislators for a $300 million cut across the University System. Extension/4-H personnel received a 142-page document outlining the cuts. (Full Story)

Last Updated: 12:19 PM 02/25/10 - In the latter part of 2008, three of our outgoing county commissioners voted themselves a substantial increase in retirement. I believe the vote to increase the retirement amount was 3-1. I do not recall any real outrage brought forth about this self-serving vote by any commissioners on the Board at that time. (Full Story)

Last Updated: 12:17 PM 02/25/10 - Early on Sunday morning, Feb. 14th, 2010 we were traveling along Interstate 75, when we encountered engine trouble. The light came on for replacing the engine oil filter, and the power on our pickup decreased a lot. We could only travel about 30 miles per hour, and even slower up the hills. (Full Story)
