Henry County Life Management Solutions, a social-service agency, has been awarded a $3,000 grant from the Council of Juvenile Court Judges of Georgia.
The money will be used to provide psychological evaluations for offenders in the Henry County Juvenile Court system.
The money is an addition to an earlier grant of $7,500, which the county agency received in October.
Henry County Spokeswoman Julie Hoover-Ernst said local officials “greatly appreciate” the funds, and the support the Council of Juvenile Court Judges has displayed for Life Management Solutions.
Workers at the agency, according to Hoover-Ernst, “promote positive change” for area families. The juvenile offender program, she added, helps young people move forward in a positive direction.
“Kids who go through the juvenile offender program are not likely to get in trouble again,” Hoover-Ernst said. “It’s very important that we are able to provide this program. Life Management Solutions provides resources for youth and adults, to equip [them] with the tools they need to redirect their lives so they can become successful, law-abiding citizens.”
