I don't know exactly how much the county is paying for C-tran. I have three vehicles and have rode the C-Tran twice. Each of my rides, the buses were about full. I have notice more people at the bus stop this year, then previous years. This is not a good time to stop the buses. Truthfully, I have never seen more people riding the C-tran as I do now. No one is moving out here with money and educational background, because of our weak school system. Good families are moving out and low income moving. Those in apartments are helping this county because no one is buying houses. Most of them are on the bus. We don't need no more folks leaving the county. Someone has to pay the police and the schools. Right now, the bus riders are helping us pay these taxes.

Mr.Bell, Your buses are not now nor have they ever been full. They are nothing more than a burden on the taxpayers of Clayton County.Tara Blvd. was once a thriving area. It has become not much more that a cesspool of late. At any given time you will see drug deals out in the open, drunks roaming up and down the highway and prostitutes. What once were nice apartment through out the county are quickly becoming slums. So why don't you and your section 8 friends get on a C-Tran bus together and go live somewhere else. This will allow the hard working men and women both black and white of Clayton County to clean your mess up. Don't leave mad, just leave and take your buses with you.

First of C-tran is not a waste of taxpayer dollars. If they shut down C-tran your taxes will go up and thats for certain. What you fail to realize is those buses are overflowing during peek times have you seen the buses at 2 and 3 in the afternoon in the summer time apparently not. They have scared so many people because of the system ending people are making alternate arrangements instead of waiting. So yeah thier may be fewer riders now. This blizzard thats outsude right now i hope your car wont start so you can see how it feels to lose money.Shame on all of you who feel that hardworking ppl should lose thier only means of transportation.Have you been on the bus that goes to the hospital, the library or shorter college How bout clayton state university.Guess not you would rather have ppl loafing off one another instead of being able to go out and get thier own.

Commissioner Bell says "our buses are overflowing". If you consider a fourty passenger bus with one driver and no more than two riders as overflowing, I guess he is correct. If not, then shut C-Tran down. It is a big waste of taxpayer dollars.

Mr. Bell, you need to look again. Those buses have never been overflowing. You must be mistaking the Clayton County Prison detail bus for a C-Tran bus. Those are the only buses in Clayton County that are overflowing. Even the school buses have open seats. Wake up Pa Bell!!!
